Green alga caulerpa racemosa: Is it possible to use (high performance liquid c) HPLC for its toxicity testing?
currently i’m doing reserach in green alga caulerpa racemosa.. i’m looking for any journal or article regarding usage of HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) for its toxicity testing.
This type of green alga being one of the local food near langkawi island, malaysia and invasive for other plants as well.
As I understand it, toxicity testing is putting a plant or something else into water and then seeing if the water (or sediment or some chemical) is toxic to it. I’m not sure how you could use HPLC for toxicity testing that way as it is measuring a compound. Perhaps you are looking for a toxic compound? As you can see, I am familiar with toxicity testing, somewhat with HPLC, and not with Caulerpa.
As far as looking for articles, have you done a search on Science Direct or any of the other science search engines? I always found looking for an article that was similar was the best way, and then looking at the references.
