Princeton Instruments
Could I get into Yale/Princeton/Brown/Harvard/Brown?
I go to one of the top public schools in the US.
I have played the french horn for 7 years, this is a very rare instrument and is considered a “scholarship” instrument.
I have played in the All City Band, School Orchestra and Band, School Rep. Band, and a Jazz Band for four years.
I am on my school’s debate team, and I have gotten to octas, quaters, etc. several times.
I have over 150+ hours of service.
I have directed and acted in several of my school’s theater productions.
Won several Scholastic Writing Awards.
Done my own research on mesophilic bacteria conversion with a track of Research Science Programs at my School (Bio, Chem. etc)
Taking AP Bio, Chemistry, Calculus BC, and a bunch of others.
Got a 2340 on my Sats
750 on Bio Sat 2
700 on the French SAT 2
so what do you think my chances are? Any advice is appreciated! THanks!
GPA is around 93-95
Harvard/Yale/Princeton are almost impossible to get into unless you have a hook like a recruited athlete. minority, parent is an alum, etc.
I suggest considering top ranked Holy Cross which is 40 miles west of Boston.
Holy Cross has one of the top rated Premed programs in the nation and opened a 70 million dollar science complex a year ago.
Last November the department of theatre at the College of the Holy Cross was awarded the New England Theatre Conference’s (NETC) Moss Hart Award for best college play in all of New England, for its production of My Life with Albertine.
This is the second consecutive Moss Hart win for the Holy Cross theatre department
