BioM©rieux VIDAS Automated Immunoassay System $68529 Features of the BioM©rieux VIDAS Automated Immunoassay System: VIDAS is an automated, muliparametric immunoassay system. This uniquely designed testing device stores the calibration in the analyzer’s memory, thus optimizing the cost-per-patient result. Plus, with its ready-to-use reagents, minimum maintenance, ease of use and uni/bi-directional interface, labor cost is also optimized. Automation and kinetic assay reactions yield rapid turnaround time. The quality of the VIDAS is unsurpassed—it is automated, has no carryover, uses fluorescence reading, is self-testing and has ready-to-use bar-code-labeled reagents. Single or batch testing: serology and immunochemistry results, 20—60 minutes; direct antigen assay, 30—150 minutes. Fully-automated, simple-to-use and require infrequent calibration and very little maintenance. User-friendly software; complimentary updates. Equip with Laboratory Information System (LIS) and barcode patient demographic interfaces. Self-contained reagent strips with all necessary buffers, conjugates, and diluents. No reagent bottles to replace, reservoirs to fill or reagent dilutions to prepare. Solid-phase receptacle (SPR) (packaged with each reagent strip) serves as a reagent pipet as well as an antibody-coated reaction vessel. Antigen detection (bacteria, toxins) is carried out using a sandwich technique. SPR is coated with antibodies against the target antigen. Fluorescence measured is directly proportional to the quantity of antigen present in the sample. 3 interconnected units: a test processing center; a central control computer with 13 in. color display and keyboard and graphics printer.
